About The Art Institute of Raleigh–Durham, a branch of The Art Institute of Charlotte

The Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham, a branch of The Art Institute of Charlotte, places the learner at the center of their efforts. They believe in the commitment and dedication of their students and employees, and encourage them to be active and involved community members. Their building includes classrooms, labs, studios, resource rooms, and office space for an educational institution. In addition, they have a student lounge, a library, and an exhibition gallery, and maintain a supply store for the convenience of students.

Raleigh–Durham is centrally located in North Carolina’s “Research Triangle,” with a population of over 1.6 million people. A large university community and many high-tech companies call this region home, and residents enjoy film festivals, college sports, and other cultural attractions. In 2005, Forbes Magazine called Raleigh-Durham the “2nd best place for businesses and careers.”

All educational programs and student services are offered from this location. The year-round average class size is 22 or fewer students — and will not exceed 35 students in lab sessions or 40 students in lecture sessions. Equipment provided for learning is specific to the program of study. This includes, but is not limited to art and drafting equipment, projectors, editing decks, PC and Macintosh computers, and printers.
