Operates battery of looms to weave cotton yarn between strands of tire cord to form loosely woven tire cord fabric: Observes fabric being woven to detect weaving defects. Examines looms to determine cause of loom stoppage, such as warp and filling breaks or mechanical defects. Ties piece of yarn to broken end and threads yarn through loom parts to repair warp breaks, using hook. Pulls out broken filling and pushes shuttle throughshed to insert new pick. Marks or cuts fabric when sufficient yardage has been woven.
