Engineers solve problems, and what bigger problems do nations have right now than their reliance on fossil fuels? As a Renewable Energy Engineer, you have the opportunity to reduce that consumption through the development of new, clean, renewable energy sources.

This area of science is still in its infancy, so it’s a great time to get started. With so many options, you might be challenged to choose the field that’s right for you. For example, a Renewable Energy Engineer might work with wind turbines, crunching wind direction and speed data into output potential.

Or maybe you’d rather find efficient ways to turn grains into gasoline. Solar power is also making strides as a reliable resource for heating homes, lighting businesses, and providing electricity to remote locations.

Regardless of the resource, your job as a Renewable Energy Engineer is to make the process of retrieving and using it easier and more effective.
