Outside Sales Representative
Travel out into the world and convince customers to buy your products.
In the movies, people walk into a dream home and exclaim, “We’ll take it!” However, the realities of buying a home are a lot more complicated. Often, it’s difficult to find just the right home, or the right buyer. When you do, there are layers of paperwork that must be completed, and financing must be secured.
As a Realtor, you’re perfectly suited to tackle all these tasks. You’re a dreamer who can talk through the benefits of a house and help a buyer visualize living there. The Realtor can also discuss financing and legal matters with ease.
The Realtor also spends a lot of time in the car. You visit people who want to sell their home, and you scout out the place and take photos. You may work with Contractors to make changes to the home. Then you hop back in your car to visit people who want to buy a house.
You may have to drive them to many, many houses before they see something they like. You will walk through more houses than you ever dreamed possible, and you’ll learn how to explain imperfections and talk up the benefits of each home.
Home buying often involves an incredible amount of paperwork, and you’re responsible for drawing it up and explaining it to baffled sellers and buyers. You also give advice on home loans and financing. Additionally, you provide reports to help clients determine what to charge for their home. If you purchase a printer that you can plug into your car battery, you might not even need a brick-and-mortar office.
