Tends plywood-layup line machine that applies glue to top surfaces of veneer sheets before assembly into plywood panels, working as member of team: Presses pedals to start machine and to activate infeed conveyors that convey stacks of face sheets, crossbands, and core stock to feed end of machine. Removes face sheets, crossbands, and core stock from respective infeed conveyors and places sheets in specified sequence on machine conveyor that carries sheets past trash gate and through glue curtain to BACK FEEDER, PLYWOOD LAYUP LINE and CORE LAYERS, PLYWOOD LAYUP LINE. Presses pedals to open trash gate to remove detected unusable veneer, such as broken or split sheets, from conveyor.
