Design the support structures of bridges and buildings.
Develops plans for construction and utilization of revenue-producing vehicle parking facilities: Plans and conducts comprehensive field surveys to locate sites for new parking facilities. Analyzes factors such as capacity, turnover, rates, and required property changes relative to proposed sites, and prepares maps, graphs, tracings, and diagrams to illustrate findings. Designs parking lot facilities, including spaces, aisles, driveways, lighting, gates, landscaping, cashier booths, storm drains, grades, and paving details, and prepares cost estimates. Evaluates work performed by contractors to verify conformity to specifications. Keeps log of construction projects and prepares final reports. Reports maintenance problems occurring at facilities to supervisor. Prepares replies to public suggestions and complaints.
