Pages work in many different departments of a TV or movie studio, getting a taste of all the different options and careers that the company has to offer. From greeting guests and handling tickets, to working with the crews and talent behind major TV shows and movies, Pages do it all! These programs usually serve as the opening stage of a long-term career at a TV or film studio, giving the Page a little taste of many different jobs.
Like many entry-level workers, the Page is one of the hardest-working people in the entertainment industry. Assignments can take almost any form: leading tour groups, ushering people to their seats for live recordings of TV shows or other performances, answering questions, just providing a great experience for guests, and much more. As a Page, you’re often the public face of the company.
The entertainment industry isn’t known for being a stable one. Workdays can be long and hard, and time off can be nonexistent at times. As a lower-level employee, you may sometimes feel underappreciated by those around you, but you derive satisfaction from knowing that none of them could do what they do without you to support them. What’s more, being a Page opens a lot of doors to other opportunities in the industry.
Show business is a big, crazy world, and you’re an integral part of it.
