You run tests on the type of programming you have designed to ensure that even non-techies would still be able to understand and use it.

Of course, this means that you’ll likely be called to provide support and work out any glitches even at odd hours. So be prepared to work on an on-call basis. Additionally, you’ll have to keep up with ever-changing technological trends in order to update your skills and increase your marketability.
