Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintenance of areas, such as parks, botanical gardens, and playgrounds: Plans landscaping tasks, and instructs workers in taking care of nursery, planting of flowers, and transplanting and pruning of trees and shrubbery. Directs workers in maintenance and repair of driveways, walks, hedges, swings, benches, and other park equipment. Performs other duties as described under SUPERVISOR Master Title. May patrol parks to guard against vandalism and destruction. May supervise workers engaged in maintenance of areas along highways, around rest areas, and federal or state facilities and be designated Supervisor, Grounds; Supervisor, Rest Area; or Supervisor, Park Workers.
