Line Producer
Keep track of the budget for TV or film productions.
An Executive Music Producer in the music industry holds the business and creative control over the production of a track – or an entire album. As an Executive Music Producer, you’re the Designer, and you create the frame for what’s being presented to the listener. You’re ultimately who is behind the success or failure of a track.
If you work independently or at a small label, you’ll be the boss and control everything from band selection to promotion budget. These responsibilities might include song writing, orchestration, sound engineering, vocal arrangements, recording locations, hiring of Musicians, liner content, cover art, music distribution, and marketing plans.
If you take the big-label Executive Music Producer route, then you will be in charge of the budget, scheduling, and securing Recording Artists. The smaller details, such as implementing your ideas, will be passed off to other staff.
Either way, you’ll be in instrumental in creating music that you (and everyone else) love.
