Auto Damage Appraiser
Determine the cost of repairing damaged cars for insurance reasons.
Everyone remembers the first time they slid behind the wheel of the family minivan and drove by themselves to a friend’s house with no parent fearfully clutching at the passenger side door. A Driver ’s license represents the ultimate freedom, and as a Driver License Examiner, you’re the one who makes this dream a reality for 16-year-olds everywhere. Of course, you don’t just deal with teenagers; you also help those who stop in to renew their old license, or get their new ID after moving to the area.
Your job as Driver License Examiner is to handle all the tests and administrative duties that have to be done before a license is issued. These include things like the vision test, written driving test, and occasionally, the road test. Road tests vary by state, but generally require the tester to prove that they can make a right and left turn, and follow basic road signs.
Driver License Examiners also check that things like the person’s mental and physical ability are in line with federal laws and regulations. After doing a variety of tests and checks, you make your decision and either deny or allow the person to get their license.
Once you’ve cleared a person to get their license, it’s time to issue one. You do everything from taking their photograph to entering their data in the computer. When the finished license appears, you take their payment and send them on their way.
