Assists CORE-DRILL OPERATOR in setting up and operating drilling equipment to obtain core samples used in determining geological character of ground, nature of ore, or strength of foundation material: Labels samples of strata indicating area and depth from which sample was obtained. Lubricates machines and assists in making repairs to machine and equipment, such as replacing worn winch cables, or adjusting drill stems, engines, and pumps. May be designated according to type of drill used as Diamond-Driller Helper.
