Chief Warden

Coordinates activities of FISH AND GAME WARDENS and other personnel within state or conservation district: Determines effectiveness of training administered by others, according to review of personnel records and supervisory evaluations. Coordinates special enforcement campaigns, such as rabies control activities and investigations into cause of excessive fish mortality. Assigns personnel to enforcement territories or to aid other divisions in seasonal conservation activities. Prepares public information materials, delivers speeches, and confers with representatives of sports groups to promote conservation activities. Answers correspondence concerning enforcement or other activities. Keeps records of hunting accidents, drownings, hunting law violations, and related data. Prepares budget for submission to state legislature.
