The money part comes when players play against the house, betting that their cards will hit 21 before the house does. As a Blackjack Dealer, you hand out the cards and represent the house (a.k.a. casino).

This is the most popular table game that casinos offer, which is great because it means you’ll always have people to play with (and tips to collect). The job is all about customer service, so it’ll help if you really like being around people and don’t mind spending hours interacting with them. After all, you’ll be working at that table for hours. You can’t just walk away from a client even if they’re in the foulest of moods because of a losing streak. Great customer service leads to happy clients. And happy clients can lead to generous tips. You’ll definitely need this since the basic wage of Blackjack Dealers is usually low.

The game is all about luck, so there’s really not much you need to do or think about except how to keep the people at your table happy. During a game, you hand out cards, take bets, and pay out chips when someone wins. Most Blackjack Dealers work long shifts (think 10 hours), but then get three days off.
