Balloon Sellers are in the business of bringing smiles to people’s faces. They do that by hawking their helium-filled wares to children and adults alike while walking about festival grounds. The job of a Balloon Seller is a fun one because it means gaining access to fairs, carnivals, circuses, concerts, and other events. As a Balloon Seller, you spend much of your day circling the venue — likely outdoors — talking to people and creating joy wherever you go.

Depending on the requirements of your particular job, you might provide the added service of balloon artistry. After all, nothing says you’ve had a day of fun quite like a balloon flower hat. You can master that skill, but if a balloon snake is more your speed, that’s fine, too, especially if you’re just selling helium-filled rubber or foil balloons.

You might also push a cart around or sell other novelties, like items that flash or glow in the dark. To add a fun and unique spin to the job, you might hawk your wares while in costume. After all, balloons seem to have more of an appeal when a Clown sells them.

Whatever the situation, your job is to answer questions about your products, entertain the little ones, continuously go around the venue to reach the maximum number of customers, and even yell or call out to bring attention to yourself (in case the balloons don’t do the trick). You also collect payments, give change, and seek out potential customers. Additionally, you can hand out flyers advertising the entertainment company you work for, or your personal balloon artistry skills. And finally, you make trips back to your supplier to stock up on the best sellers.
