What do Tunnel Heading Supervisors do?

Supervises and coordinates activities of tunnel construction crew engaged in sinking shafts, boring tunnels, placing tunnel segments, moving shield forward, and excavating in front of shield: Determines spacing, alignment, and depth of blast holes. Verifies that shoring, bracing, and movement of tunnel shield conform to safety regulations. Performs other duties as described under SUPERVISOR Master Title.
