What do Tack Welders do?
Welds short beads at points specified by layout, welding diagram, or by FITTER I 801.261-014, along overlapping edges of metal parts to hold parts in place for final welding. Performs tasks of FITTER HELPER 801.687-014. May tack-weld, using hand, submerged, or gas-shielded arc welding equipment. May tack-weld, using portable spotwelding gun [WELDER, GUN 810.664-010].
