Tends machine that flattens tobacco stems or stems and veins of tobacco leaves: Starts conveyor that feeds tobacco to rollers of machine and forks tobacco onto conveyor. Regulates flow of steam and water to moisten tobacco and clean and cool rollers. May remove flattened leaves from machine and stack leaves in pile or fork flattened stems into hogsheads.
