What do Powerhouse Mechanic Supervisors do?

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in installing, adjusting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical parts of hydroelectric turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment. Trains workers in repair and maintenance procedures. Performs duties as described under SUPERVISOR Master Title. May be designated according to type of powerplant in which maintenance is performed as Diesel-Powerplant Supervisor; Geothermal-Powerplant Supervisor; Hydroelectric-Powerplant Supervisor; Nuclear-Powerplant Supervisor; Steam-Powerplant Supervisor.
