Stretches toe, vamp, and quarters of shoe upper over sides of last and tacks upper onto insole and bottom of last, using pull-over machine: Positions lasted upper on machine. Pulls lever to stretch upper over last. Pushes second lever to clamp upper in position and depresses pedal to start tacking operation.
