What do Hydraulic-Press Operators do?

Tends hydraulic press that packs tobacco into hogsheads for storage or shipment: Reads scales to determine whether specified amount of tobacco has been packed in hogshead and charger. Pulls hogshead and charger from chute or packing line, using metal hook, and positions hogshead under ram of press. Pushes lever to lower ram or to raise hogshead against ram to press tobacco into hogshead. Removes hogshead from press and pulls charger from hogshead onto rack, using hook, or raises charger from hogshead, using electric hoist. May place metal reinforcement corset around hogshead to prevent staves from bursting under pressure.
