What do Check Pilots do?

Accompanies AIRPLANE CAPTAINS and AIRPLANE FIRST-OFFICERS periodically, to test and review their proficiency: Observes and evaluates pilot knowledge and skills, utilizing such means as technical manuals, check lists, and proficiency tests. Notes compliance with and infringement of company or Federal Aviation Administration flight regulations. Compiles and issues reports on findings to appropriate company and Federal Aviation Administration officials.
