We're Hiring

We're looking for talented software engineers with recent experience using Ruby on Rails.

All candidates should have:
- 6+ years developing software
- 3+ years working with web technologies
- 2+ years experience with Rails
- BS Comp Sci or equivalent degree/experience
- experience with test driven development or willingness to learn

We're looking for EITHER a front-end specialist, who:

- has experience building beautiful websites
- has experience with JavaScript and jQuery
- writes clean, semantic HTML (experience with Haml a plus)
- is familiar with CSS and layout issues (experience with Sass a plus)
- is familiar or willing to learn Blueprint or similar css grid framework

OR a back-end, internet technologies expert, with some of the following skills:

- experience scaling high traffic websites:
-- caching technology experience, memcached, etc.
-- optimizing relational DB queries (we use PostgreSQL)
-- optimizing web page response times
- noSQL experience
- experience writing web crawlers and parsers
- experience with Hadoop or another MapReduce technology
- machine learning
- recommendation systems


Our team uses some agile methods, including daily stand-ups, mockups, wireframes, and sprints. We're a start-up: ability to execute quickly and a willingness to take chances are necessary. Previous startup experience is a plus but not necessary. We work in a quiet office with new Macbook Pros and large LCDs.
